On 9 May 2025 we published Gigi’s Campaign and have since had over 17,000 visitors to the site. We could not have achieved this without you sharing Gigi’s campaign and we are so grateful to you all of you for doing so.
We believe we all have a shared interest in ensuring that the provision of childcare is safe and effective. We know so many people rely upon this care and we know the terrible consequences when that care is not provided as it should be. Thank you to those that have contacted us to share their thoughts about the campaign and say such kind things about our wonderful Gigi. We value all of the messages and are truly grateful that many of you have shared the campaign with your local MP. This is such an important step in achieving the changes we consider are needed.
Thank you to our local MP Tom Morrison who has been very supportive of our family and the campaign from the start. Tom recently asked a question about Gigi’s campaign in Parliament and we will be meeting with Tom, The Lullaby Trust and Stephen Morgan, a Minister in the Department for Education, in the coming months to discuss how we can move the campaign forward.
Tom has also tabled an Early Day Motion (EDM) on Safe Sleep Standards in Early Years Settings which can be viewed here and we ask that you share this with your MP so that they can support the motion and ensure that the issues are debated in Parliament. Many of you have suggested that we start a petition and this is something that we will keep under review, however, we want to work with the government and all political parties to achieve the reforms we are seeking and ask that you share the EDM and Gigi’s campaign with your MP to assist us in achieving this goal.
